4 Bedroom House in Downtown Halifax, Halifax

Starting in May 1, 2015, we have welcomed guests to enjoy our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house in the heart of Central Halifax. Our home is seconds from Citadel Hill, and Halifax's Waterfront, and is directly across the street from the Halifax Common and Emera Skating Oval. The house has a large back deck with BBQ, a great place to relax before and after venturing out to enjoy the city and surroundings. The house has three levels. Upstairs features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The main level is made for entertaining, with an open kitchen and a bright living room. The back sunroom leads to the tranquility of the large deck. Downstairs is made for lounging with a recreation room and bar, to go with another bedroom and a full bathroom.
This house was our family home for 10 years, but it was time to move to a spot with a bit more room for our family!

Summary: Great location, looking out onto the Citadel and a short walk to the waterfront and lots of other amenities. With the great location does come some significant traffic noise. Inside, the house is well set up as accurately described. Lots of fans around to help keep cool on the hotter days. We had a great week, thanks!

Summary: We loved the house, it was very clean and had everything we needed supplied. Lots of room, 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms was great! The location was great too, close to everything. It's on a busy street but we liked that too. Lots going on around us. My husband and I stayed in the basement bedroom which we did find a little damp, however, it was a very hot humid week. There isn't air conditioning but the hosts supplied lots of fans so that helped. We were a little confused about the garbage day. We weren't sure if it was a garbage day or recycling and compost only so that schedule would be helpful for the next renters. Overall, it was a great stay and we would recommend it! Thank you

Summary: Rustic on the outside, spaciious, clean and comfortable on the inside. 3 of 4 bedrooms very spacious with the 4th being a little smaller. No A/C but fans in all bedrooms. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Andrew M

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at the Orange house in Halifax. It is very convenient to downtown and within walking distance. It was a great accommodation for our 3-generation family. John was a very good host with prompt replies to any questions. There were even some age-appropriate toys for our grandchildren which was a treat. supermarkets were nearby. Nice to have parking in the driveway.

Summary: The location is perfect with everything within walking distance...waterfront, parks, gardens, citadel. House was nice and big for our family. We were there when it was close to 90 degrees and there was no air conditioning so that was a bit rough. My only issue was that there were no shades in the master bedroom, very thin curtains so you were up when the sun was up. 5:30am a bit too early for me on vacation, other than that would have given it a 5 star.

Summary: We stayed the first time in December 2019 to celebrate Christmas with friends and family in Halifax and from out-of-province. We enjoyed it so much we booked the property again to celebrate Thanksgiving. Central location. Clean. Very comfortable beds. Lots of space. New furniture and decorations since Dec 2019 which resulted in more space and less clutter. Property manager is very nice and responsive.
